The Post Rapture Network was originally created for a friend of mine who is a devout Christian. She owns a small one woman farm outside of our home town. As her only friend who is a confirmed atheist she asked me to take care of her farm when the rapture occurred. She wasn’t sure if her family would be around and she knows that they wouldn’t be able to take care of her animals and estate even if they had been left behind. Entrusted with a letter to give to her family and instructions for the special care of her diabetic cat and her horse I made my promise. A few weeks later a man from her church gave me a call and asked if it was possible for me to take care of or find another home for his dog after the rapture. I said of course I would. Well, this was a great comfort to them both and I thought that the world is hard enough with many worries burdening people. Why not give comfort that their pets, horses or other livestock will be properly fed and taken care of? Why not make sure that there are people available to carry out the specific cares and wishes of those left behind and give those who believed piece of mind that their pets and animals are well cared for and comfortable as they can be through the tribulations? This website grew from there.
Now I am a confirmed Atheist and I don’t believe in a god of any kind, but I do believe in kindness and helping others. I have a life long love of animals, a grandfather that is a well-known large animal vet in our state. I am a ‘mom’ to five rescue cats and fiance’ to an American soldier looking to start our own self sustaining farm. We are good people looking for volunteers to help spread the kindness and piece of mind in knowing that your beloved pets will be taken care of and loved after you have transcended this world.
